A very successful championship for the KWF SA team bringing home 16 medals and in particular, the members of the team from Dorfman Dojo with 13 medals.
The top achievement for me was from Matthew Pine, 20 years old, in his first ever senior world championship taking the silver medal in the Senior Male Kata category, narrowly beaten by the world renowned Masamichi Otsuka Sensei, Chief Instructor of KWF HQ.
The top achievements from our junior competitors were from Nate Gavin, (13 years old), gold medallist in kata and Safiya Barklem (13 years old) gold medallist in Jiyu Ippon Kumite.
